Raymond Collins Blessed the lives of Minister Jennie Collins- Mobley and John Collins August 04, 1963 in Gary, Indiana. Father James Collins preceded Raymond in death. The Lord has kept his mother Minister Jennie Collins- Mobley for 78 wonderful years.
Raymond exchanged time for eternity Friday May 15, 2020. Sister Rita Bates also preceded Raymond in death. Raymond confessed Christ at an early age. He graduated from Wirt High School Class of 85’. He enlisted in the service and served for several years, including 2 tours in Desert Storm, where he then met his former lovely wife Haydee Collins. During this beautiful union Genesis Collins was born and he was gifted 3 sons Johnny, Tony and Edward. A funeral Service will be held Friday May 22, 2020 in the Chapel of Carmichael Funeral Home in Smyrna. Social distancing will be practiced by all in attendance.

Raymond enjoyed spending his time with family and creating memories. He worked as a bricklayer for 3 years and finally at Sundek over 22 yrs. Raymond has a total of 11 grandchildren 8 boys 3 girls with a total of 3 great grandchildren all of Georgia. Raymond was a fun- loving intuitive smart man and the quietest in the room. Raymond had a kind and giving heart and would do whatever he could for you. He is going to be deeply missed.

2 brother, John(Gwen), Elijah (Vernita) Mobley and 1 sister Kiva(David) Green all of Gary, Indiana, 11 grandchildren 8 boys 3 girls with a total of 3 great grandchildren all of Georgia two uncles Jimmy(Ernestine) Richardson, and Lee Richardson, lots of cousins, and special nieces dear to his heart Senequa (Bryan), Carissa(Robert), Jackie, Essence, and Kailah all of Gary Indiana. Special nephews Jeremy, Josh, Victor, David Jr., Kayleb, Elijah Jr., and James all of Gary, Indiana with two great nephews and lots of friends. Raymond never told us goodbye he always told us we will see him later until we meet again. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Thursday at the Funeral Home in Smyrna.
