From Ebensberger-Fisher Funeral Home:

Mark William Carriker, of Boerne, Texas, passed away March 19, 2020, at his home surrounded by loving family and friends after a valiant 18 month battle with cancer. He was 31 years old.

Mark was born in Fredericksburg, Texas, to Lee and Pat Carriker on May 24, 1988, and moved to Boerne when he was 1 year old. He attended public schools in Boerne, and graduated from Boerne High School in 2006. He attended Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas, and he was a member of the Fighting Texas Aggie Class of 2010. During that time, he met the love of his life, Jaci Phaneuf, and they were married in 2011. They moved to Copperas Cove in 2012 and, while there, were blessed with two children, Ellie and Abram. In 2017, Mark and his family moved back to Boerne to be closer to their extended family.

Mark was a great son, brother, husband, father, and friend. He loved growing up on his family's ranch in Boerne, and no one knew the ranch better than he. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially shooting, fishing, and off-roading. Mark had many talents and loved sharing them with others; he was very skilled at mechanics, computer science, music (guitar), welding, woodworking, and so much more. He found his niche in the YouTube world and gained many followers, several of whom he grew to consider to be true comrades and friends. He bravely shared his struggles with cancer with his YouTube followers from around the world, which allowed him to touch the lives of many people. He was an inspiration and truly excelled at helping his fellow man.

Everyone loved Mark's sense of humor and tendency for mischief; idleness and boredom were not words in his vocabulary. His loving, happy personality and quick wit will be greatly missed by all who knew him; he was so many things to so many people. Mark was an amazing husband and even an even better daddy; his children were his biggest sources of joy and his proudest achievements. He was a wonderful son and a hilariously fun brother. He was never afraid to be someone's friend. He was a faithful Christian and trusted the Lord even through his hardest trial; he did not hesitate to use any platform, including his YouTube channel, to speak about Jesus. When he was baptized, he even lead his brother and father to be baptized alongside of him. His family has confidence that Mark will spend eternity in Paradise and that they will all see him again.

Mark was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Olie and Jeane Carriker, and his maternal grandparents, Dr. Glenn and Ann Williams. He is survived by his beloved wife of nine years, Dr. Jaci Carriker; his daughter, Ellie Carriker (4); and his son, Abram Carriker (3). He is also survived by his parents, Dr. Lee and Pat Carriker; his brother, Dr. Matt Carriker and wife Meredith; his sister, Dr. Ali Thames and husband Spencer; and his brother, Drew Carriker and fiance' Chelsea Beningo. Also surviving Mark are his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Mike and Julie Phaneuf; his brother-in-law and wife, Christian and Amy Phaneuf; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Due to state-wide COVID-19 pandemic restrictions, a private burial service was held at the Boerne Cemetery on March 23, 2020.
