A service for Louis L. Boettcher, 72, a Miami-area parimutuel clerk at horse and dog tracks and a former professional football player, will be at 1 p.m. tomorrow at Lithgow 150th Street Center, with burial in Southern Memorial Park.
Mr. Boettcher, of 730 90th St., was a 260-pounder who played on the line for the Chicago Cardinals, which became the Chicago Bears in 1922. He died last Friday.
He came to Miami 38 years ago and for the last 15 years worked for Biscayne Kennel Club, Tropical, Gulfstream and Hialeah Race Tracks. He was a member of the Mutuel Clerks Association. There are no local survivors.
