Keith Wayne Bearden, age 61 of Valley Mills went to be with his Lord and Savior Sunday, May 17, 2020, at home surrounded by his family. A graveside service will be at 11:00 am, Thursday, May 21, 2020, at Lane’s Chapel Cemetery, with Pastor Greg Moore officiating under the direction of Foss Funeral Home and Cremation Center.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 20, 2020, from 5-7 pm at the First Baptist Church.

Keith was born May 26, 1958, in Clifton, Texas, to Basil and Catherine (Fields) Bearden. He graduated salutatorian from Valley Mills High School in 1976. He then received his Diesel Mechanics degree from TSTI. He worked with his dad at Bearden and Son’s Painting for many years. He worked at Ryder for 10 years, Central Freight Lines for 2 years, Centex Waste Management for 4 years and for the last 22 years he worked at the Heart of Texas Electric Coop as their mechanic.

He married Patricia Clark on August 23, 1980. To that union they added 4 children. He enjoyed farming, John Wayne movies and spending time with his family, especially his granddaughters. He was always willing to lend a helping hand and loved to pester people. He attended Top Hand Cowboy Church.

Keith was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joe and Leta Bearden, Father, Basil Bearden and father-in-law Joe Clark.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Patricia, daughters: Heather (Skyler) Thomasson, Trista (Cody) Edwards, and sons: Dusty (Jennifer) Bearden and Patrick (Caprice) Bearden; grandchildren: Alea and Olivia Thomasson and Baby Bearden on the way; mother, Catherine Bearden; sisters: Genia (Mike) Walker and Wanda (Jerry) Wakeland; mother-in-law: Loretta Clark and numerous family and friends.

Pallbearers: Keith George, Ronnie Geeslin, David Goff, John Goff, Bobby Ramsey, Tim Bottoms. Honorary Pallbearers: Ray Anderson, Clarence Engelbrecht, Mike Tarrant, Brandon Geeslin, Billy Clark.
