Julius Williams Jr., 77, of Kensett died tragically from the hand of another on May 14, 2020 at his residence. He was born December 9, 1942 at Kensett to the late Julius Williams, Sr. and Janie Dunlap Williams.
Mr. Williams obtained his education from the White County Training School and served proudly in the United States Air Force. He had a long career with Southwestern Bell as a technician. He accepted Christ at a young age, and attended Arnold Tabernacle CME Church in Kensett.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Jacqueline Jackson; sister, James "Ada" Johnson; and brother, Wayne Williams.
He married Doris Jean Owens Williams October 22, 1968 at Kensett; she survives. He is also survived by a son, Richard Gillispie (Stephanie) of Miami, Florida; two daughters, Julia Yvonne White (Travis) and Thunder Yvette Nkere (Emefre) both of Jacksonville, Florida; four grandsons, Roger Johnson III, Gabriel Johnson, Willie "Hasani" Jackson, and Emanuel Nkere; one granddaughter, J'Nel Jackson; a brother, Curtis "Pete" Williams (Shirley) of Kensett; and sister, Reba Young of Ackworth, Georgia; as well as several nieces, nephews, and friends.
A visitation will be 4-6 p.m. Friday, May 22, 2020 at Sullivan Funeral Care. Funeral services are 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 23 in the Sullivan Memorial Chapel with cremation following.
