It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Jacob Lee Reed. Jacob passed away on May 13, 2020 in a tragic car accident. Jacob was born on May 25, 1991 to his parents Terry Lynn (Floyd) Burns and Lee Scott Reed in Dallas, Texas.

Jacob loved and gave his whole heart to the Lord and was currently serving and sharing Him everywhere he went. He loved riding dirt bikes, fishing, boating, camping and everything outdoors. He was a great artist with a huge imagination. Jacob was an all-star at everything he participated in.

Even though death has come too soon, his life will leave an impact on so many. Jacob left behind many family members and friends. He was the life of any and all gatherings he attended. He will be most remembered not only for his beautiful soul but for his great smile and energetic laugh. There was never a dull moment with Jacob. Whatever he was doing, he went “all in”; he loved “all in”, he played “all in” and those that loved him will remember Jacob…. “all in”.

Jacob is the proud father to his son, Tyler Jacob Reed and daughter Maycee Grace Reed. Jacob faced many struggles in his short life but had come full circle by the grace of God to become a loving father to Tyler and Maycee. His children viewed him as a treasure in their lives. He held great pride watching his son play sports and his daughter dance and tumble. He adored his children and worked very hard to build a bond with each of them.

Jacob is survived in death by his loving son, Tyler Reed; his precious daughter, Maycee Reed and their mother Britney Odom; his mother and step father, Terry and Michael Burns; his father, Scott Reed; his sister, Kandyce Reed; grandparents, Ronnie and Brenda Reed; aunts and uncles, Laura and Tommy Garrett, Gary and Peggy Reed, Tim Mason and Kenneth Moore; his girlfriend Krystal Cobb and her sweet daughter Prescott, numerous cousins and other beloved relatives and friends (whom all loved him like family).

Jacob is preceded in death by his grandparents, Earl and Massie Woody; aunts and uncle, Debbie and Jimmy Mason, Lynn Mason; two uncles, Kenneth Reed and Fred Reed.

Family, friends and others whose lives were impacted by Jacob are invited to Visitation at Anderson Clayton Funeral Home located at 305 N. Jackson St. Kaufman, TX 75142 on Wednesday, May 20, 2020 from 6:00-8:00 pm. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, May 21, 2020 at 1:00 pm followed with the Interment at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Seagoville, Texas where he will be laid to rest.
