He is survived by his wife, Marian D. Gilchrist Brooks, Annandale, Va., whom he married on August 17, 1950, in Greeley, Colo.; daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth “Libbie” and Roger Weber of Albuquerque, N.M.; son and daughter-in-law, Douglas G. and Chris Brooks of Spring Hill, Kan.; daughter and son-in-law, Julia and Neal McCluskey of Alexandria, Va. and five grandchildren, Caroline, Jonathan, and Drew Brooks and Iona and Nathanael McCluskey.
