Patricia was the middle child of James H. Kennedy & Aves I. Dyer-Kennedy, both originally of Wills Point, TX. Patricia was a graduate of Mesquite High School and worked as a nurse’s aide in nursing homes in the Mesquite area. Later in life she graduated from Metroplex Beauty Academy in Mesquite, TX and worked as a cosmetologist owning Josie’s Salon. Patricia would tell you her most important job was that of mother and grandmother. She was a loving, caring mother that would sacrifice anything for her children.
Patricia loved her family, the outdoors and animals. She enjoyed working in the yard, fishing and camping. She always made sure the wild birds around her home had food, water and shelter by maintaining several feeders, bird baths and houses. By far her favorite animal was dogs. Her most beloved pets were a toy poodle named DeeOgee and her current companion, Porkchop, a rescue from the Dallas Animal Shelter.
Patricia was a member of the Rockwall & Brin Church of Christ in Terrell. A grave-side service will be held at Laurel Oaks Funeral Home on Friday, May 22, 2020 at 11:00 am.
