John P. McEwen Jr. 54 of Indianapolis, was born in Chicago, IL April 5, 1953 and died August 17, 2007. He was the beloved son of Margaret Ruth (Chellman) and John P. McEwen Sr. who survive. Until being diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy he had been a truck driver for Gold Shield Solvents for 15 years and recently worked part-time for the Childhood Leukemia Foundation. He was a member of The Hoosier State Chevelle ClubAmerican Chevelle Enthusiast Club (ACES).
In addition to his parents he is survived by; son John P. McEwen III (Leigh Ann); daughter Heather McEwen; stepson Michael Potts (Cindy); brothers Todd William (Viki) of Pittsboro, IN Richard Dean (Marla) of Jeffersonville, IN; sisters Catherine Wilson (Steve) of Pittsburgh, PA, Beth Verhonik (Bill) of Plainfield IN; 2 grandchildren, 6 nieces and nephews, 1 great niece.
Services were entrusted to Flanner Buchanan Speedway Funeral Chapel of Indianapolis, Indiana.
