LINCOLN — Ruth Farrell, 92, of Lincoln, formerly of St. Louis, MO died at 10:30 a.m. on April 27, 2010 at Maple Ridge Care Center in Lincoln, IL.
She was a registered nurse and a member of the St. Andrew Presbyterian Church of St. Louis, MO.
She was born on May 11, 1917 in Latham, IL to August and Ocie Skelton Lee. She married Gilbert E. Farrell on August 1, 1937 in Hartsburg, IL. He preceded her in death on March 22, 2008.
Survivors include one son: Gilbert L. Farrell of Paragould, ARK; on daughter: Diana Lee Yokley of Lake St. Louis, MO; three nieces: Sue Dixon, Janet Hayward and Sandra Swanson all of Illinois. Several nieces and nephews all of Illinois. She had three grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and four sisters and one son, David Farrell.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 30 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln. Interment will be at Two Mile Grove Cemetery in rural Latham, IL.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from (10-11 a.m.) at the funeral home.
Memorials can be made to the American Heart Association or the Alzheimer's Association.
