Rosa A. Bezanson, at Somerville, Mass., July 26, 1936, aged eighty-six years and six months. The weakness and infirmity of age brought about the death of this godly woman, after a long, busy and devoted life.
Mrs. Bezanson was born in King's County, Nova Scotia in 1851. She moved with her husband and children to Boston in 1883, finally settling in Somerville, where the entire family of father, mother, and eleven children became associated with the newly formed Advent Christian church. She was an active worker for Christ and her influence continues to work through her children in whom are manifest the fruits of the "Nurture and admonition of the Lord" in which they lived their early lives. At the funeral services, among the sons and grandsons were three ministers of the Gospel, and one now preparing for Christian work. We believe that she will have many sheaves to lay at the Master's feet.
Mrs. Bezanson leaves six living children: Laura M., Nellie A., Roland H. Bezanson and Mrs. Maude Gilliatt, all of Somerville; Leroy P. Bezanson of Arlington; and Walter S. Bezanson of Concord. There are many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She rests at Chestnut Hill, Burlington, Mass., awaiting the appearing of the Saviour she loved, confident that He will bring final victory over 'the last enemy' in the day of His coming.
