Lloyd O. Simpson, 88, of 107 Selma St., Marion, passed away on Monday, March 29, 1999 in Marion General Hospital at 3:48 p.m.
Born in Marengo, Ohio on February 23, 1911 to the late George H. and Mae (Baker) Simpson, he was married in 1934 to Nina C. Morris, who preceded him in death in 1995. The couple was married for 61 years.
Retired in 1972 from Marion Power Shovel Co. where he was a security guard. Previously, Mr. Simpson had been a locksmith.
Along with his parents and wife, he was predeceased by four brothers and five sisters. He leaves two sons; three daughters; 27 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren; plus nieces and nephews.
Services in Gunder/Hall & Folk Funeral Home on Friday, April 2 at 1 p.m. Burial will be in Marion Cemetery.
