Carolyn V. Cassidy, 93, a native and lifelong resident of Jacksonville, Fl, passed away Monday May 4, 2020. She was a faithful, devoted, and founding member of Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church and was active in various ministries, including the CWC Ladies Guild. She was a Past President of St. Vincent's Medical Center Auxiliary, Past President of the Catholic Women's Club, and a Life Member of All Saints Nursing Home.

She is survived by her special friends Jewel S. Griffin, Michael and Galynna Griffin, their children and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and the entire Diamond D Ranch Family. Ms. Cassidy was predeceased by her first husband, Horace R. Powell in 1966; her second husband Irwin Edward Cassidy in 2001; and her mother Nina W. A'Vant Hurlbert.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated privately, at Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church by Reverend Michael Larkin. The co-celebrant will be Reverend Adam Izbicki. Private interment will follow at Deese Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, her request was that donations by made to Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church's Building Fund and St. Vincent Medical Center's Building Fund.
