On Sept. 20, 1764 at the Wethersfield Church (by Rev. James Lockwood), Rhoda m. Capt. John Francis, 5th s. of John Francis, Jr. and his 4th and last wife, Eunice Dickinson, b. at Wethersfield June 20 (bapt. July 2), 1744. In what would appear to be a confusing family genealogy, Capt. John Francis, 5th was the 2nd of two sons of his father named John, the elder of the two, John Francis, 3rd, d. May 15, 1738 at Wethersfield leaving a wife and four children, one being John Francis 4th, b. in 1733 and d. unmarried Sept. 22, 1758 at Greenbush, NY while serving in the French & Indian War. Capt. John Francis, 5th d. May 30, 1824 at Wethersfield, Æ 80 (g.s.)
Rhoda and her husband had eight known children, all b. at Wethersfield, but only four have recorded births and/or baptisms. They are/will be summarized in their father's memorial.

Inscription
In
Memory of
Mrs. Rhoda,
Consort of
Capt. John Francis,
who died
Mar. 27, 1816,
Æ. 73.
Based on the form in which her husband's age at death is stated on his extant gravestone, on the day Rhoda died she was 72 years old, and Ætatis suæ (i.e., Æ, "Aged," in the XX year of her Age) 73. This indicates she was b. on or after Mar. 28, 1743 and baptized at the Wethersfield Church in 1745.
