Obituary of Linda G (McCurdy) Bowen
Funeral services will be held at Morgan Funeral Chapel on Monday, May 18, 2020 at 1pm for Linda Bowen, age 70 of Pinson, Alabama, who passed from this life on May 12, 2020. Burial will be at Rainbow Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Rick Beam and Ryan Hall officiating, Morgan Funeral Chapel directing.
Mrs. Bowen was a graduate of Gaston High School, class of 1967. At the age of sixteen, she met the love of her life: an older, seventeen-year-old boy named Farris, and in November of 1969, they were married. They went on to have two sons, Farris Jr. and Jeffery. For 47 years, Linda was a faithful Christian. She had a special place in her heart for children, which led her to being a foster parent for several years. She was a loving mother and faithful wife, and will be missed by all who knew her.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Myrtle Sue Cox McCurdy and Verlyn McCurdy, Sr., and son, Jeffery Scott Bowen.
She leaves behind to cherish her memories, her husband of 50.5 years, Farris Bowen, Sr., and her son, Farris Bowen, Jr.; grandson, Evan McCollum; granddaughters, Destinie Hawkins and Merri Bowen; brother, Steve McCurdy; sister, Jean Bailey; brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Eunice Kell; brother and sister-in-law, Clyde and Glenda Bowen; and a host of loving family and friends.
The family will accept visitors at Morgan Funeral Chapel on Monday from 11am until time of service.
