Beverly June Reddick was born Beverly June Loomis in Newton, Iowa, to Oscar and Theola Loomis. She moved to Grants Pass, Oregon, in the early 1940s, where her parents opened a restaurant on the corner of 6th St. and Manzanita. Beverly graduated from Grants Pass High School and went on to become a dental hygienist, graduating with one of the first dental hygiene classes at OHSU.
Beverly met and married Dr. Daryl Allman. They had three children and lived many different places while moving with the Navy. Following her divorce in 1975, she moved back to Grants Pass and began working as a dental hygienist again.
She enjoyed painting, gardening, decorating and watching her children and grandchildren's lives unfold.
She married Wilson (Bill) Reddick in 1985 and described him as the "love of her life."
Her last six years were spent living in Vancouver, Washington, to be closer to family. However, she continued having the Daily Courier mailed to her even after she moved, so she could keep up with all that was happening in her beloved hometown.
Beverly is survived by her three children, Melinda Clapp, Dirk Allman and Robin Pinnock; along with four grandchildren, Christy, Daniel, Jessi and Joel; and three great-grandchildren, Salem, Priya and baby Dev.
She was loved, and her wit and humor will be missed.
