Kathy was raised in San Mateo, NM and then moved to Albuquerque, NM after graduating from Grants High School.
Kathy worked in the jewelry business before starting her 23-year career with US Eagle FCU.
Kathy was a breast cancer survivor and a proud supporter of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation along with being a dedicated parishioner of St. Joseph on the Rio Grande Catholic Church.
Kathy is survived by her loving husband, Ken Martínez of Albuquerque, NM, son, Allan (Amy) Martínez, grandsons, Allan Brian Martínez Jr. and Anthony Isaac Martínez of Fredericksburg, VA, sisters, Diana Chávez of Grants, NM and Faye (Anthony) Ramírez of Albuquerque, NM, brothers, Andy (Brenda) Michael of Albuquerque, NM and Stanley (Reba) Michael of Rio Rancho, NM and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
Kathy was known for her kindness by never forgetting birthday's, anniversaries or any special occasion and will be very missed by family, friends and co-workers for her loving and giving heart.
Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Mary Michael and sister, Colleen Michael.
Due to the current pandemic, future services and a Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Kathy's name to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
