Kristy Nicole Mitchell, 41, of Taylor died on Tuesday, May 12, 2020 at Baylor, Scott & White in Round Rock. She was born on September 30, 1978 to Floyd and Melvin (Ware) Mitchell in Rockdale. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Business from the University of Phoenix and worked in customer service and accounting. Kristy had a loving and good-natured soul. She loved being with her family, especially her nephew, who she called Tinkerbutt. She enjoyed reading and watching movies.
She is preceded in death by her grandmother, Janie Mae Mitchell; and her grandfather, Preston Reed.
Kristy is survived by her mother, Melvin Mitchell of Taylor; father, Floyd Mitchell of Taylor; brother, Timothy Mitchell, Sr. and significant other Leslie Bozarth of Taylor; grandmother, Mary Ware of Georgetown; nephew, Timothy “Tinkerbutt” Mitchell, Jr.; nieces, Aubrie Sanchez, and Shelbie Jackson; best friends, Denise Mitchell, and Trina William; furbaby, Prince; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
The visitation will 11:00 – 12:00 on Saturday, May 16, 2020 at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale. A funeral service will immediately follow at 12:00 noon at the funeral home. Burial will at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Rockdale.
