Frances L. McClenney
May 15, 1933 - May 13, 2020

Frances L. McClenney 86 of Shelbyville died May 13, 2020.

Private Graveside Services will be held Saturday at Rosebank Cemetery.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Horace D. and Ruby Anderson McClenney and brothers, Horace D. Jr. and Frank McClenney. She is survived by a brother, John A. (Shirley) McClenney; sister-in-laws, Catherine and Sue McClenney; her extended family, Dale (Marie) Hammack, Carol Kirk (Dale), Kathy Hammack (Mike); and her friend, companion, tour & travel guide, Janet L. Hammack.

Frances loved the Lord and shared time with him while digging in her garden. The beautiful vegetables they produced were shared with many.
She loved the outdoors and is remembered still by many that knew her for her fast pitch soft ball skill back in her days in High School. She lived in Memphis for a while and played touch football with Elvis Presley in their neighborhood.
She loved all wild life, birds and forests. She loved to travel and see the world-Alaska, Belieze, Cosumel, all the National Parks of the Golden West-fly-cruise-from Quebec to Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. and all ports between.

Our many praises go out to all the staff and personnel of Alive Hospice of Murfreesboro for the compassionate caring, gentle and kind services provided during her stay in their Hospice Center and to her hospice nurse, Ms. Sarah Browning of Shelbyville. Their skill and abilities helped us endure with ease and assurance.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Alive Hospice of Murfreesboro, 1629 Williams Dr., Murfreesboro, TN. 37129 or the National Arbor Foundation, 211 N. 12th St., Lincoln, Nebraska 68508-1497.
