Mrs. Harvey was a lifelong resident of Swifton. Following graduation from Swifton High School, Miss Carolyn Nicholson was married to Mr. J.Q. Harvey, and together they spent 60 years.
Mrs. Harvey was a 1983 graduate of White River Vo-Tech School, and retired from the Jackson County School District. She enjoyed gardening, tending her flowerbeds, and decorating her home to correspond with the changing of seasons.
She was an active member of the Swifton Church of Christ, where she spent many years teaching the Ladies Sunday School class.
Mrs. Harvey’s greatest love on earth was her family, and the time she spent with them.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Mrs. Harvey is survived by her husband of 60 years, J.Q. Harvey of the home; one son, Jay Harvey of Swifton; two daughters, Melody White and husband, Andy, of Marion, and Luann Russell of Swifton; four brothers, Lynn Nicholson and wife, Hettie, of Walnut Ridge, Larry Nicholson and wife, Vonna of West Memphis, Jeffery Nicholson and wife, Shirley of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, and Tim Nicholson of Swifton; four grandchildren, Peyton White, Landon Russell, Abby Warren and husband, Trask, Blyss Russell and Ryan Heine; two great-grandchildren, Maddox and Myles Warren….and one on the way; many nieces, nephews, and a lifetime of friends.
Friends are invited to attend a graveside visitation Friday morning, 10:00 a.m. until service. Graveside services are 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 15, 2020, at Swifton Cemetery with Mr. Jon Binkley and Mr. Bill Wheeler officiating
