Ronald L. Garey, 81, of Cleburne, passed away on Wednesday, May 13, 2020 in Cleburne, Texas. . He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He also loved his dog Molly.

Ron was born on January 18, 1939 to Floyd Lewis and Virginia (Willison) Garey in Crooksville, Ohio. He married Della Yarnelli in 1976 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

He was a self-employed mechanic; with a first passion being drag racing. He also enjoyed working on automobiles; riding his motorcycle, and flying his airplane.

Ron is survived by his wife of 43 years, Della Garey; sons Chuck Garey and wife Kim, Jim Garey and wife Tracy, and Don Garey and wife Julia; daughters Marsha Eckman and husband Jerry, Cindy Short and husband Bill, Diana Miller and husband Ron, and Cheryl Owens; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 2 half-sisters; 1 half-brother; and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister Mona Ayers and husband Tom; one half-sister, and one granddaughter.
