Anna "Ruth" Lane, 87, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 18, 2020 with family by her side after a long illness. She spent her childhood in Skin Fork until she met and married the love of her life and husband for 63 years, Silas Lane. Ruth was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved spending time with her family and was the happiest with them by her side. Her legacy of love will live on now through them. Most of all, Ruth loved the Lord. She was an active member of the New Zion Old Regular Baptist Church for more than 60 years. Attending church services, Association meetings, and being with her church family were some of her favorite things to do.

Born May 28, 1932 in Pineville, WV to the late Walter Lee Workman (1899-1952) and Margaret "Maggie" Ethel Cook-Workman (1907-1936. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Silas Lane (1927-2012) whom she married on June 5, 1948 in Pineville, Wyoming County, WV (per WV Marriage License Register, Wyoming County, WV, 1948, Page 233, Application Date: May 31, 1948); her sisters, Eileen Workman-Garrison (Deceased), Billie L. Workman-Hannan (1930-2020), Ruby Athalene Workman-Lyons (1928-2018), Sandra Kay Workman-O’Neal (1947-2003), and Glenna Diana Workman (1949-1949); her brother, Douglas Lee Workman (1940-2007); and her son-in-law, Jim Sizemore (Deceased).
