Lena Fern Wilson-White, 61, of Victor, WV received her promotion from this life on Tuesday May 12, 2020 at the Bowers Hospice House in Beckley, WV. Lena fought a long and courageous battle with cancer. Lena enjoyed listening to and singing gospel music and sang with various groups. She was Apostolic in faith. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, whom she loved very much.

Lena was born to the late Grover Andrew Wilson (1912-1975) and Alta Blanche Fox-Wilson (1920-1993) on March 21, 1959. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Rev. Dale Keith White (1946-2014); her brothers, Grover Randolph Wilson (1955-2011), Marshall Andrew Wilson (1955-2015), Delmar Lee Wilson (1941-1996), Charles Wilson (Deceased), Herbert Fredrick Wilson (1952-2019), and Otis Wilson (Deceased); and her sisters Della M. Wilson-Stuhldreher (1946-2013) and Clara Faye Wilson-Allport (1940-2010).

Those left to cherish her memory are two sons, Anthony Smith & wife Stacy Smith of Nallen, WV, and Steven Oliver Smith & wife Felecia Smith of Beckley, WV; her five grandchildren, Christina Smith, Kevin Smith, A.J. Smith, Savannah Smith and Olivia Smith and one great-grandchild Octavia Layton; sisters Wilma Wilson-King & husband Clyde King of Victor, WV, Emily Wilson-Maglott of Wooster, OH, Ola Wilson-Halstead of Webster Springs, WV, Mary Wilson-Cox & husband Lonnie Cox of Ashland, OH, and Melissa Wilson of White Sulphur Springs, WV; her brothers, Ronald Wilson & wife Linda Wilson of Hayesville, OH, Mark Wilson & wife Sharon Wilson of Lenoir, NC and Roger Wilson of Granite Falls, NC.

At her request, she will be cremated, however there will be a celebration of Lena’s life on Saturday, May 16, 2020 at The Rugged Cross Church of Grace in Nallen, WV. Friends and Family may visit from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the church. Afterwards, she will be laid to rest at the Wright Family Cemetery in Nallen, WV during a private ceremony with Rev. Thomas A. Dulin at sunset.
