March 28, 1943 - February 19, 2014
Patrick Wheeler, 70, died suddenly on February 19, 2014 after suffering from a heart attack at his beloved home in Cummings Cove, Hendersonville, NC.
Born on March 28, 1943 in Geneva, New York, Pat was the second of four siblings – with two brothers and a sister. After spending his formative years growing up in White Plains, New York, he graduated from SUNY-Albany in 1968 with a BS in Biology; but, his career ultimately landed on Human Resources, where he was able to focus on helping people – like he so often did.
Pat was a friendly and fun loving man who loved his family and the community of Cummings Cove; and he was devoted to his extended family at Grace Lutheran Church. He is survived by Marilyn, his wife of 46 years; by his two children Kevin Wheeler and Christy Brandt; and by the five grandchildren whom he was so proud of: Kelsey, Mallory, Ryan, Cassidy, and J.P. He will be missed.
A memorial service will be held Monday, February 24 at 2:00 pm at Grace Lutheran Church in Hendersonville.
