Dan Moody Hogan was born to Mose Hogan and Annie Bell Polk on July 6, 1925. He accepted Christ and was baptized in the early 90's at the Whippoorwill Church of The Living God, P.G.T. under the leadership of Reverend Jerry C. Williams. Dan loved the Lord and remained a member until his passing.

Dan was married to Bessie Lou Cooper and to this union, seven children were born. On September 16, 1957 he married Cassie Mae O'Quinn. He raised Carolyn O'Quinn Phillips and to this union, five children were born. He was employed for 35 years at Fergusons Texaco and later was employed by Buddy Linton Trucking Company for 15 years. Dan retired in 1988.

Dan also served in the United States Army during WWII and was honorably discharged. After his service to our country he became a member of the American Legion Post 844 in Henderson. He was an avid fisherman and loved to sing and listen to music.
