Mike was born in Franklin on February 22, 1973 and was raised in Centerville. He was the youngest of four sons born to Carlin and Shirley Lange. He was a former resident of Virginia where he lived with his wife and children until three years ago when they moved to Franklin. A welder by trade, Mike worked predominantly in the oil and gas industry on pipeline, traveling extensively throughout the US for work. Though he loved living in Virginia, his love for the Louisiana outdoors and being on the water eventually drew him back to his beloved Louisiana. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved him.
Those he leaves to cherish his memory include his wife, Wendy Penley Lange; his children, Emily Grace Lange and Kayce Daniel Lange; his parents, Carlin Lange and Shirley Wiese Lange; brothers, Mark Lange and his wife Roxanne and Bart Lange and his wife LaRaine; sister-in-law, Paula G. Lange; nephews, Jake Lange, Barrette Lange (his godchild), Brady Lange, and Joseph Lange (his godchild); niece, Allie Lange; and godchild, Brooke Ibert.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Brett Lange; as well as by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Due to the current health concerns and mandated restrictions in accordance with limited gatherings, graveside services for Mike will be held privately with the family in St. Joseph Cemetery in Centerville where he will be laid to rest. Bro. Blaise Smith will conduct the services.
Honorary pallbearers will be Mike McDonald, Randy Burgess, Rod Rodriguez, and Tommy Killingsworth.
