He was born August 27, 1952 to Raymond and Dorothy (Nye) Edwards in Normanton, England.
Carl and his family came to Terre Haute in 1962 and started a new life here.
He served in the U.S. Navy and became a U.S. citizen in January 1998.
Carl worked for N.E.W. Interstate Concrete for about 29 years and loved the people he worked with.
He enjoyed golf and his favorite football team was the Indianapolis Colts.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years Barbara, his brothers Robert Edwards (Diane), David Edwards (Beverly), Bill Douglas (Loma), Wayne Douglas (Lori), Michael Douglas (Gail); sisters Susan Midcalf, Barbara Overton, and several nieces and nephews.
His caring ways and sense of humor revealed what a wonderful husband and friend he was. Carl loved kids and they loved him. We will love and miss him and always cherish our memories.
Arrangements were entrusted to DeBaun Funeral Home.
A celebration of life will come at a later date.
