Mr. Carl D. Baker, 86, passed away Tuesday evening, May 12, 2020 at The Compassionate Care Center in Richmond. Carl was born on January 13, 1934 in Richmond, Kentucky and was the son of the late Alson and Maggie Alcorn Baker. He was a retired employee of General Motors (Fisher Body) in Flint, Michigan. He was a member of the Bearwallow Holiness Church. Survivors include his wife: Joyce Woolery Baker; one daughter: Peggie Lowery (Floyd); a step-daughter: Jeana Woolery; three brothers: Lloyd Baker (Florine), Willard Baker (Rosie) and James Baker; one sister: Mary Etta Butler; six grandchildren: Stanley Gross, Maggie Dearing, Tara Lee Worley, Jessica Baker, Justin Edwards and Casey Burdette; seven great-grandchildren: Jacob Gross, Dylan Gross, Albert Barber, Layla Lee Worley, Latney Worley, Lane Worley and Lawrence Worley and a host of other relatives and friends. Carl was preceded in death by a son: Carl David Baker and two sisters: Leona Edwards and Helen Howard. Private Services will be held and interment will be at Madison Memorial Gardens. The Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home is in charge of services.
