Joyce died Tuesday, May 12, 2020. Born in Oxford, NC, she was the daughter of the late Ernest L. and Elizabeth Currin Mize, and wife of the late Thomas Earl Parrish. She worked as a secretary for the YMCA, and was a former league bowler. A member of Lyttleton Street United Methodist Church, she was active in the Friendship Sunday School Class and the United Methodist Women.
She is survived by her son, Tommy E. Parrish, and his wife, Janice, of Mt. Airy, NC; grandchildren, Sandra Lunn, Sally Lunn, Mariah Hope, Luke Parrish (Jessica), and Hannah Dickerson (Chastin); great-grandchildren, Anwyn, Kaeden, Jamie, Aria, Bash, River, and Luna; and son-in-law, Tony Lunn.
In addition to her parents and husband, Joyce was predeceased by her daughter Debbie Lunn, six brothers and one sister.
