Robert Dean Hupp, 85, of Columbus, died at 5:04 a.m. Tuesday, May 12, 2020 at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient facility.
Robert was born December 30, 1934, in Elizabethtown, Indiana, the son of Charles and Irma Wheatley Hupp. On June 23, 1984, he married Jane Remley.
Mr. Hupp served in the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged after his service. He was a self employed electrician until his retirement. Robert enjoyed woodworking and was a member of American Legion Post 24.
Survivors include his wife, Jane; step-daughter, Jill Rutan of Ohio; siblings, Albert (Becky) Hupp of Roanoke, VA, Ronnie (Loretta) Hupp of Crossville, TN, Peggy Pike of Columbus, Diana (Roy) Williams of Russellville, AL, Danny Hupp of Scipio, Larry Hupp, also of Columbus; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; step-daughter, Joyce Bowens; three brothers and one sister.
In keeping with the family’s wishes, cremation will take place and there are no services planned.
