Robert W. Lewis, 50, Bloomsburg RD 9, died at Muncy Valley Hospital early this morning. Born July 27, 1940, in Danville, he was the son of Gladys Straub Lewis of Danville and the late Charles Lewis.

A 1958 graduate of Danville High School, he worked at Danville State Hospital for 25 years before retiring in 1989. Mr. Lewis was a member of Strawberry Ridge United Church of Christ, Bloomsburg Elks, National Rifle Association, and the Montour DeLong Sportsmen Club.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by wife of 21 years, the former Patricia Buss. Also surviving are two sons, Thomas of Millville, and Russell of Danville; two daughters, Lori Lewis of Danville, and Cindy Martz of Millville; three brothers, Charles and James, both of Danville, and David of Bloomsburg; one sister Mrs. Richard (Donna) Houseknecht of Millville; and four grandchildren.
