Obituary: Warren, Eagle Democrat - Wednesday, Martch 4, 1992 - p. 11 - Sue Reaves Carter - "Mrs. Sue Reaves Carter, formerly of Warren, died after a brief illness at Shreveport Thursday. She was age 80 and had resided in Shreveport 55 years. Mrs. Carter was a sister to Senator Lee Reaves of Little Rock, Noel Reaves of Kansas City, and Jake Reaves of Conroe, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed F. Carter. Survivors include a son, Dr. James E. Carter of Alexandria, La.; two daughters, Betty Stokeld of Baton Rouge and Peggy Underwood of Monroe; six grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and her brothers. Funeral was at ten Saturday at the Willow Point Baptist Church with the Rev. Bennie Bond serving as officiant. Interment was in the Moseley Cemetery near Warren with the Rev. Jim Elliff, her nephew, officiating. Mrs. Carter was an active member of the Willow Point Baptist Church of Shreveport; the family suggests memorials to the church.
