Barbara Jean Decker of McCook passed away Tuesday, May 12, 2020 at Hillcrest Nursing Home. She was 66 years old.

Barbara was born on March 27, 1954 at McCook to parents, Loren Felix and Hazel Loraine (Doyle) Myers. She attended McCook Public Schools.

On June 19, 1971 she was united in marriage to Ronald Ray Decker at the First Baptist Church in McCook. To this union two daughters, Brenda and Robin, was born.

The family made their home in several locations while Barbara’s husband served a 21-year career commitment in the Navy. They eventually made their home in Garden City, KS. After the passing of her husband, Barbara moved to McCook to be closer to family. She enjoyed her volunteer work with the schools while living in Garden City.

Barbara enjoyed quilting, playing board games, putting jigsaw puzzles together and her cats.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Decker; daughter, Robin Decker; parents, Loren and Hazel Myers; and grandson, Benjamin Decker.

She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Decker of Garden City, KS; sister, Pam Fraker of McCook, NE; brother, Doug Myers of McCook, NE; three grandchildren, Paulina, Sky, and Robert; one great-granddaughter, Bella June; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of family and friends.
