Mrs. Margaret J. Potter, widow of the late George T. Potter, died at her home on Stuart street Sunday night at eleven o’clock, of the infirmities of age.

Mrs. Potter, a daughter of Jacob and Sidney Argenbright, of Middlebrook, was the last of a family of seven children. She was born May 29, 1850, and was, at the time of her death, eighty-two years, one month and eleven days old. She was a direct descendant of the Revolutionary war soldier, Augustine Argenbright, mentioned in Waddell’s Annals of Augusta county, and a niece of George Lewis Argenbright, late centenarian of this county.

She was a consistent member of St. Paul’s United Brethren church, having united with the church about forty years ago.

Mrs. Potter is survived by the following children: Mrs. I. K. Roby, Mrs. Matthew Greuling, and O. A. Potter, all of Staunton.The funeral service will be held from St. Paul’s today at ten-thirty a.m., conducted by the paster, the Rev. David F. Glovier, assisted by the Rev. P. W. fisher, of Churchville. Interment will be in Thornrose.
