Professional Football Player. He played at the position of halfback and placekicker for eight seasons (1953 to 1960) in the Canadian Football League with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. He attended St. Andrew's College in Aurora, Ontario. He also attended Hillfield College in Hamilton, Ontario, where he excelled in sports and played football collegiately. After graduating from college he played hockey at the amateur level. He then returned to football and signed with the Canadian Football League's Hamilton Tiger-Cats beginning in 1953. With the Canadian Football League's Hamilton Tiger-Cats he was part of the 41st Grey Cup Championship Team in 1953, and the 45th Grey Cup Championship Team in 1957. During this time he was coached by Carl Voyles and Jim Trimble, while his teammates included such greats as Vince Mazza, Eddie Bevan, Art Darch, Ron Murphy, Jake Gaudaur, Ray Truant, Gene DeNobile, John Barrow, Bernie Faloney, Bob Golic, Ralph Goldston, and Chet Miksza. His Canadian Football League career consists of some 34 games played, 13 points, running for 42 yards on 7 attempts, and scoring 0 rushing touchdowns. He also caught 5 passes for 100 yards and 1 receiving touchdown. It was during this same time that he resumed his hockey career as well. He retired from playing football following the 1960 football season. After his retirement, he became a successful businessman. He was inducted into the Athletics Hall of Fame at the Hillfield College in his Hamilton, Ontario.
