Pink Emaline "Pinkie" Batten was the daughter of John T. Batten and his wife, Sarah Elizabeth "Sallie" Etheridge. She married Solon Raymond Brock in 1901 in what was then Princess Anne County, Virginia (now Virginia Beach city).

New information added August 24, 2012:
Princess Anne County, Virginia marriage records show the following -
"November 14, 1901 - Solon Raymond Brock, single, and Pink E. Batten, single - Solon Raymond Brock, age 24, born in and residing in Princess Anne County, Virginia, occupation Blacksmith, son of Solon A. Brock and his wife, Mary E. - Pink E. Batten, age 18, born in and residing in Princess Anne County, Virginia, daughter of John T. Batten and his wife, Sallie E."
