Joel (Joe) Ledbetter, 96, of Greenville passed away March 31, 2017, at Briarcliff Health Center. Graveside service was held Monday, April 3, at 2 p.m. at Memoryland Memorial Park with Rev. Johnny Hailes officiating. Services were under the direction of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home. Joe was born in Brownwood, Texas, on May 25, 1920, to Horace Clifford and Olive Wood Ledbetter. He married Marjorie Rosenbalm on Oct. 14, 1944, in Rockwall, Texas. Joe worked as a line superintendent for 43 years with the Hunt and Collin Electric Coop and was of the Baptist faith. Joe is survived by his wife, Marjorie Ledbetter; children Joel Keith Ledbetter, Sherry Bench, Londa Hunter and husband Ted and Vicki McMahan and husband Howard; sisters, Sylvia Spears and Eulalia Torris; grandchildren Craig Bench, Misty McMahan, Cari Smith and husband Matthew, Hillery Clark and husband Cleve, Lora West and husband Billy and Megan Dudark and husband Ryan; and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters; one brother; and one son-in-law. Pallbearers were Craig Bench, Cleve Clark, Ryan Dudark, Ted Hunter, Howard McMahan and Billy West.
