Hodges SC - Eva Nell ‘Doodie’ Davis, 83, of Hodges, wife of Johnny Davis, died May 10, 2020, at her home. She was born in Cartersville GA to the late William and Lois Bennett Woods. Mrs. Davis was employed with Standard Textiles for ten years and also with Plaxco’s Drug Store in Due West. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Honea Path. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by a daughter, Harriette L. Simmons; a brother Bobby Woods; a sister, Louise Huskins and a nephew, Michael Huskins. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Johnny; three children, Kirk Cagle, John Cagle and Cathy Shedd; three brothers, Billy Woods, Johnny Woods and Marshall Woods all of Cartersville GA; a sister, Mary Bell Johnson of Kingston GA; five grandchildren, Stacy Gambrell, Jeramie Cagle, Daniel Bramlett, Brandon Shedd and Bradley Shedd. Burial in Due West Baptist Church Cemetery. Harris Funeral Home.
