Simon Albrecht of RR#1, Newton, passed away peacefully at the nursing home on Wednesday forenoon December 11, 2019.
Simon was the son of the late Amos Z. and Mary (Lebold) Albrecht. Beloved husband of Lydia (Jantzi) Albrecht whom he married on September 21, 1950. Loving father of Lorne Albrecht, Catherine Kuepfer, Laura Kuepfer, Israel (Marion) Albrecht, John (Florence) Albrecht, Mary (Steven) Kuepfer, Lloyd (Kathryn) Albrecht, Beatrice (Larry) Jantzi. Dear grandfather to 44 grandchildren and 111 great-grandchildren.
Survived by sister Sarah Kuepfer, brother Menno (Rebecca) Albrecht, sisters-in-law Katie Kuepfer and Dorothy Kipfer and by his many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by daughter-in-law Irene Albrecht 2004; sons-in-law Reuben Kuepfer 2019 and Raymond Kuepfer 2019; grandsons Jonathan Albrecht 1983, and Mark Albrecht in 1996, sister Elizabeth (Menno) Jantzi,brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Daniel Z. Kuepfer, Susan (Ivan) Kuepfer, John (Catherine) Jantzi, Sarah (Edward) Albrecht, Levi S. Kuepfer, Tena (Earl) Kipfer, 5 sisters-in-law, and 2 brothers-in-law in infancy.
