Michael T. Summers, 68, of Hope, passed away, Monday, May 11, 2020 at his home.
Michael retired from Toyota in 2015. He served in the Marine Corp. as a Staff Sergeant for nine years.
He enjoyed being with his family and grandkids.
Born on March 7, 1952 in Perry County, Michael was the son of John and Betty Jordan Summers. He married Beckie Moore.
Survivors include his wife, Becfkie, of Hope; parents, John and Betty of Hope; children, Benjamin (Shantel) Summers of Hope, Stacy (Andy) Burkman of Scipio, and Debbie Cowart of Savannah, GA; 12 grandchildren; and siblings, Danny (Angie) Summers of Columbus, Kim Summers of Mooresville,a nd Cindy (Gary) Owens of Seymour.
A private graveside service will be held at Hawcreek Cemetery with Richard Yeaton officiating. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the Bartholomew County Veterans Honor Guard.
Services entrusted to Norman Funeral Home.
