The New Howff Cemetery burial ground on the west side of Constitution Road was opened c1834 as an extension to the Howff in Meadowside which was a few hundred yards away. It was also known as the 'New Cemetery' or 'Constitution Road Cemetery'. In 1962, it was demolished to make way for a multi-story car park and the inner ring road. Only a few monuments on the west wall of the Bell Street Car Park remain. All remains were re-interred in a mass grave at the Dundee Eastern Cemetery.
