Mrs. Kathryn Bargeron Wilson, age 93, of Jackson, Georgia, passed away Monday, May 11, 2020, at Westbury Medical Care Home. She was born on Friday, March 18, 1927, in Millen, Georgia, daughter of the late Benjamin Franklin Bargeron and the late Katie Bell Bargeron. She was a member of Sardis Baptist Church. Kathryn graduated from Bessie Tift College. She retired after teaching school for 30 years. She enjoyed puzzles, writing, and publishing books. Kathryn was a long time Sunday school teacher. She was preceded in death by husband of 51 years, Edward Harold Wilson, Sr.; sisters, Carolyn Askew, Ruby Jenkins, Martha Cates; brother, Tyler Bargeron. Kathryn was recently crowned Ms. Westbury-Jackson 2020.

Kathryn is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Harold and Jennifer Wilson of Dawson, GA, Ralph and Saralyn Wilson of Jackson, GA, Darryll and Stacy Wilson of Fayetteville, GA; grandchildren, Amy and Mark Masters, Annette and Brett Duncan, Abby and Greg Dampier, Allison and Drew Buckner, Daniel Wilson, Noah Wilson; 11 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service for Mrs. Kathryn Wilson will be held on Thursday, May 14, 2020, at 2:00 P.M. at Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Roy Cates officiating. The family will receive friends at the cemetery one hour prior to the service. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the family has requested those attending to maintain social distancing and to wear gloves and a mask if possible. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested those desiring to make contributions to Sardis Baptist Church or the Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery, P.O. Box 280 Sardis, Georgia 30456.
