Talk show host. He was the host of The Morton Downey Jr. Show in the 1980s. He was known for his chain smoking and confrontational behavior. He also composed the instrumental rock hits Pipeline and Wipeout in the 1960's. He was the son of popular singer Morton Downey and dancer Barbara Bennett. He became an anti-smoking crusader after losing a lung to cancer in 1996.
