Obituary from premierfuneral.com:
Eugene Bingham Watson, 79 passed away peacefully at home on March 8th 2018 from a prolonged illness. He was born in Ogden, UT on February 2, 1939 to Marion Bingham Watson and Elva Clark Watson. He married Nola Jane Connary, his best friend and forever sweetheart on March 9, 1979, and they later solemnized their marriage in the Jordan River Temple on March 9, 1982. They enjoyed 39 wonderful and happy years together. He was a high priest in the LDS church. Gene loved to joke and always made us laugh. He loved camping and being out in nature. He served honorably in the United States Navy and retired from the Ogden Defense Depot. Gene was always there for those in need.
He loved his family and was preceded in death by his parents and his older brother, Robert Clark Watson. He is survived by his wife Nola, and his children Kandy Holley (Brett), Marlene Mace (Aaron), Ryan Watson (Sheryll), Grady Watson, Todd Watson (Jodi), and Tamara Bosshardt (Alan); his sisters Marilyn Jorgenson, Shirlee White, and Karen Carter; as well as 24 grandchildren, 52 great grandchildren, and 7 great-great grandchildren.
There will be a viewing on Friday March 16th from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the LDS Church located at 4460 W Cortney Dr in West Valley City. There will be an additional viewing at the same church on Saturday March 17th from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM, followed by funeral services beginning at 11:00 AM.
Our heartfelt thanks to the wonderful doctors and nurses throughout many years who cared for Gene, and for the amazing Hospice staff that provided wonderful care in his final years. We would also like to thank Premier Funeral for their kindness and compassion during this difficult time.
Gene will be remembered forever in our hearts and will be missed by all who knew him. This is not the end, but a new beginning.
