Edward Vincent was born into a large family in Lynchburg, Campbell County, Virginia. He is a son of DAR Patriot, Robert Warren and Parmelia (Love) Warren.

Following from page 69 THE WARRENS AND YOU, 1958: "In 1819, with his brothers, Edward V., John F.W.A., and Robert, and their sister, Elizabeth (Mrs. Jack Holland) headed for Boone's Lick Settlement in Missouri. They trekked over land through Tennessee to the Mississippi River, then took a boat up river. Robert Warren got off a Cape Giraudeu, settled in that area until his death. John F.W.A. and his sister, Elizabeth, left William B. and Edward V. at St. Louis, Missouri, going to southwest Missouri. William B. and Edward V. took up land in what, in 1820, was Chanton Township of Howard County."

From page 59 THE WARRENS AND YOU, 1958: "Edward Vincent Warren with his brother,
William Briscoe Warren took up land in 1820 in what was Chariiton Township of Howard County, Missouri. From Howard County, Missouri, Edward V. went to Carroll County, Missouri, where in this county, he was also a prominent citizen."

He married Miss Elizabeth Minnie Gillespie in 1805. They are the parents of known children: Jane (Warren) Barton, Robert Gillespie Warren, Pamole (Warren) Dickson, Malinda "Minnie" (Warren) Crigler, Silinise (Warren) Skaggs, and Gustavius Ericson "Gus" Warren and possibly a son Joel Wesley Warren.

In 1834 Edward V. moved to Carroll County, MO. with his nephew, Judge Thomas Minnis and settled in Trotter Township.

"August, 1837, L. N. Rees, filed a petition of citizens of Carrollton, praying for incorporation, and asking that the east half of the southeast quarter of section 32, township 53, range 23, be included in said corporation. The court granted petition and ordered that the inhabitants thereof be a body politie, and corporate under the name and style of the "Town of Carrollton," and that Lindsay Harmon, Ed V. Warren, Hiram Wilcoxson, John Espey and L. N. Rees be and are hereby appointed trustees."

The 1843 Carroll County, Missouri tax records list Edward V. Warren with taxes on acreage plus taxes on lots in the city of Carrollton.

In 1839 Edward V. Warren with sons Robert Gillespie Warren and Joel Wesley Warren moved to Newton County, Missouri where Edward V. Warren was elected county judge in 1839 and 1840. Son, Robert Gillespie Warren and James S. Rains received a license for opening a grocery store in 1841. About May 1842 Edward V. Warren moved from Newton County, Missouri. Information found in "Newton County History."

1850 Census in Upshur County, Texas locates Elizabeth (Gillespie) Warren (61) and 21 year old Salina Warren living with Gus E. Warren (26). Also in Upshur County, Texas is listed R.G. Warren
age 35, female A. Warren 23, female L Warren 5, and male C Warren 2.

July 22, 1860 Census in Upshur County Texas lists Elizabeth Warren in home of son, "Gus" and a newborn baby granddaughter, Fode. Also listed in residence is Silenia Skaggs.

Edward Vincent Warren migrated around 1942 from Newton County, Missosuri, but is not listed in the 1850 Upshur County, Texas Census. Preceding him in death were several of his children.

From Alfred V Yost: "In 1863 a letter back to relatives in Tennessee stated that Edward V. Warren died in Texas but where the letter was dated and from whom has been lost."
