Born the oldest of four siblings. Gladys Lockridge marries Floyd Raymond Ripke on June 12, 1926 in Missoula, MT. They have two children together. On July 4th, 1929, Gladys Lockridge Ripke is the only survivor of a tragic auto ferry accident that kills her husband, her two small children, her father and her stepmother.
Nine years later, on January 26, 1938, Gladys marries a second time to Arnold W. Moffett. Arnold and Gladys have one daughter together. Before her first marriage and between marriages, Gladys was employed as a school teacher, having graduated from the Western Montana College of Education. Gladys Moffett dies in 1956 at the age of 50.
