KOONTZ LAKE – Peggy E. Cooper of Koontz Lake passed away on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at home following an illness. She was born on May 13, 1933 in Starke County to the late Howard and Inez (Sinn) Wisler and was 88 years-old at the time of her death.
She lived in the area her entire life and was a retired Cook at the Catherine Kasper Home in Donaldson. On December 26, 1953 in Donaldson, she married the love of her life, the late William Cooper. Peggy attended the Koontz Lake Missionary Church and was a member or the Red Hat Society. She also enjoyed traveling, water aerobics, and was a big movie fan.
Peggy is survived by three sons Randy Cooper of Grovertown, Terry (Jayne) Cooper and Dennis (Kathy) Cooper all of Walkerton; one grandson Jason Cooper; three great grandchildren Jake, Drew, and Paige; two step-grandchildren Amy and Sarah; four step-great grandchildren Samantha, Arlie, Lilly, and Gracie; and one sister Doris (DeWaine) Smith. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; one son Donald; and three sisters Audrey Cormican, Rose Marie Huhnke, and Carol Sue Wisler.
Visiting hours will be from Noon to 2:00 EST Thursday, February 10, 2022 at the Rannells Funeral Home, Koontz Lake Chapel. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 EST Thursday, February 10, also at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Grovertown Cemetery.
