Obituary for Beverly Lorraine Adams

Beverly Lorraine Stewart Adams was born January 14, 1934, in Winfield, Kansas, and peacefully entered her Eternal Home on May 8, 2020.

In 1952, she graduated from Winfield High School, then attended the Los Angeles County Hospital School of Nursing, graduating in 1954.

Beverly married Billy Martin Adams at the First Baptist Church, in Arkansas City, KS, on February 27, 1955. From this union were four children: Cyd, Lori, Gary, and Julie.

In addition to being a wife and mother, she wore many other hats; a nurse, a small business owner, an educator; however, she will be most fondly remembered for her role as a pastor’s wife. Beverly's love of Christ and her church community shone brightly as a Sunday School teacher, organist, choir member, nursery director and in writing notes of encouragement. She enjoyed time spent in her own home reading, cooking, gardening, flower arranging, sewing and always enriched by music. “Mrs. Adams” unselfishly shared her gift of hospitality with people from all over the world and all walks of life. The example she set for others was truly inspirational. Beverly will be remembered by her many friends and family for her kindness and compassion.

She was a faithful member of many churches, the most recent being the Victory Baptist Church, of Rowlett, TX.
Beverly is preceded in death by her father, mother. and brother.

She is survived by her husband, Billy, of the home; children: Cyd Allen and husband, David, of Ardmore, OK; Lori Adams, of Plano, TX; Gary Adams and wife, Holly, of Billings, MT; Julie Watson and husband, Jeff, of Huntersville, NC; grandchildren: Courtney Allen Cowan and husband, Jereme, and Jeremiah Allen and wife, Christie, all of Oklahoma City, OK; Michaela Watson Hindes and husband, Caleb, of Huntersville, NC; Mariah Cleveland, Hannah and Haylee Adams of Billings, MT; great grandchildren: Arthur and Winston Allen, of Oklahoma City, OK; Declan and Ivy Hindes, of Huntersville, NC; and brother, Phillip Stewart, of Las Vegas, NV. May her legacy of faith live on.

A private service to celebrate the life of this wonderful woman who brought joy to so many, will be held in Rowlett, TX. Internment will be at Rose Hill Cemetery, South Haven, KS.

Thanks be to God for His abundant grace.
