FORT WORTH - Bobby Wallace after a long battle with Alzheimer's passed away on May 9, 2020 at 71 years of age.
Bobby served his country in the United States Air Force and was a Crew Chief of a KC135 in the Vietnam War. He worked for 20 years for Dairy Pak, and retired Dec. 2013 from FFE Transportation after 13 years as a truck driver. In 2009, he received an award for one million miles of safety. Also, in 2009 he was honored as a "Highway Angel" for saving a life during a 18 wheeler fire on the side of the road.
Before the disease took over, Bobby loved to spend his free time with his family (especially his grandsons) camping, fishing and traveling to take in the sights of the majestic scenery.
Bobby was preceded in death by parents, CN and Erma Sanford: sister, Jan Maywald; infant son, Steven Ray Wallace; and daughter, Sherri Ann Haggard.
Survived by wife of 52 years, Martha Wallace of Watauga; son, Steven Lee Wallace and wife, Amy of Haltom City; two grandsons, Ryan Smith of the Colony and Cannon Wallace of Haltom City; and several nieces and nephews.
