MCLEANSBORO - Gladys E. Moore, 63, formerly of West Frankfort, died at 6:05 p.m. Saturday, July 2, 1988, in Franklin Hospital in Benton. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Parker-Reedy Funeral Home in West Frankfort, with burial in Tower Heights Cemetery. Visitation will be after 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Moore was a homemaker. She was born Nov. 18, 1924, in Saline County to Claude and Lessie (Boatright) Fowler. She married Glenn Moore. He died in 1962. Survivors include one son, Edwin Travelstead of Buckingham; two daughters, Geraldine Shriver of Bluford, and Janet Shadowen of Benton; one brother, George Fowler of Benton; one sister, Joyce Sullivan of Lansing; 19 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. One son, two daughters, three brothers and one sister preceded her in death.
